Mid America Bank was chartered as a Wisconsin financial institution on January 3, 1910 as The Footville State Bank located in the Village of Footville (population 850) Rock County, Wisconsin.

The bank changed its name to Mid America Bank in September 1989 to better serve customers and offer an opportunity to expand services. In May 1990, a full service branch office was opened in Janesville, Wisconsin, Rock County's largest city, 10 miles east of Footville, with a population nearing 61,000. In January 1999, another full service branch office was opened in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, population of 2,900.

Mid America Bank, as a hometown community bank, specializes in customer services, including Residential Real Estate Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Commercial Business and other personal use loans. Mid America Bank has consistently grown in assets, approximately 6% per year.
